Summary 2019

As every year, here is a summary of the articles published in this year 2019!

A special year for me because the place of my first exercise as a freelancer, and above all embellished with a lot of Agility at scale – both in the good aspects and the less good.

Items 2019

Now that I see it, I realize that there have been a lot of retrospective design articles, which I think is pretty consistent with how I approached this year.

Indeed, in a changing context with many variables, it seemed all the more important to me to create relevant frameworks adapted to the situations encountered and to share them.

None of these articles pretends to say that it was the best way to do it, now these are additional options that can feed your reflection if you wish! 😉

Blog TOP 10

  1. An alternative to the Daily Scrum Meeting
  2. Artists and Specifiers: experimenting with Agile principles
  3. Discovering Modern Agile
  4. Kanban Pizza Game
  5. Traditional vs Agile: why change?
  6. A quick workshop to talk about complexity
  7. Retrospective animation using Liberating Structures
  8. How I learned to introduce the Agile Manifesto
  9. The Product Box workshop
  10. Take responsibility they said

It's always interesting to me that it's the “how-to” articles that always have the most success. I think it will be difficult in the years to come to dethrone our leading duo!

However, I was pleasantly surprised to see the reappearance of the article on the Agile Manifesto which was one of the first that I wrote, when I started! I also feel like I'm still in line with what I wrote 3-4 years ago!

Finally, 4 out of 10 articles are from this year, I don't yet know how to interpret that but I know that it generated a certain feeling of discomfort in me.

Note that I published less this year than the previous ones! 🙁

Draft articles

  • On the hunt for time thieves
  • The Goldfish Paradox
  • FeatureBan: a Kanban simulation game
  • The name game revisited
  • How I ended up doing a job that I love (part 1)
  • The 3 Kanban Agendas

I thought it might be interesting to list the few draft articles that are still around.

These are :

If some of them interest you, do not hesitate to let me know, maybe it will help me to publish them 🙂

Outlook 2020

For 2020, a bit like New Year's resolutions, here are some of the topics I would like to discuss, deepen and share:

  • Deepen the concept ofCommitment which seems to me to be much more complex than it seems
  • THE teamwork : especially through the 5 dysfunctions of Patrick Lencioni
  • THE Lean : to better understand the inspirations, similarities and differences with Agility
  • THE time : the construction of my conference around time thieves made me want to take it a step further to give teams more options on this
  • There systemic : many talk about it, me the first, but I would like to acquire a finer understanding of it to make this subject more accessible and actionable
  • And probably others that will come along the way! 😉

I will end this article simply by thanking you for your comments, likes and shares throughout the year and wish you all the best for this new year! 🙂
